Bonfire Night Covid 19 Newsletter

Are you meeting your friends or family for Bonfire Night?

Meeting outdoors is safer. If you meet indoors, let in the fresh air to keep Covid at bay.

If possible, try to attend a public display, but if you are setting off fireworks at home, please take care and be considerate to your neighbours, especially if they have pets.

Don’t forget to keep completing your twice-weekly Lateral Flow tests. You can find out more here.

If you are booking a PCR test at the Newbury Showground, their opening hours have changed slightly.

The testing site is now open 8am to 6pm, seven days a week.

If you need to book a PCR test, please visit the booking site here.

As we move closer to the Winter months and towards Christmas, we know the extra strain this can put on businesses, for the owners, employees and customers visiting their locations relating to Covid.

Don’t forget that if you have cases within your business you do need to complete NHS Test & Trace, you can find out more here.

If you want more information or any assistance with how we can help you during these months, please look at our Covid-19 businesses pages.

If you are eligible for a booster jab and have not yet heard from your GP, you can now book direct if it is six months since your second jab – book on the NHS site here

Don’t forget that all 12 to 15 year olds are now able to get their vaccine dose. You can book it at one of the vaccination hubs – book on the NHS site here

Since October, Pharmacies have been asking for a Collect Code when you pick up new packs of Lateral Flow Test kits.

If you are unsure how to get the codes, please look at the NHS site here or call 119. If you would rather speak to someone, your local pharmacy will be able to explain the process.

Please do remember that if you test positive for Covid-19 you need to complete NHS Test & Trace, not only does this help to protect the people around you, by completing the contact tracing you can find out what support you may be able to receive.

and finally,

You can join us at our next Local Outbreak Engagement Board Meeting on Monday, 8 November at 6.30 pm.
