Educafe Gets Active: Free exercise classes

These free exercise classes take place in and around Newbury until mid-December.

Educafe has been awarded funding to run a programme of free exercise classes that aim to offer local people the chance to get fit, socialise and have fun. There’s something for everybody: parent and baby fitness, a women’s only workout class and chair yoga for all that take place during the day time in Newbury. An evening bootcamp class also takes place every Thursday at the Riverside Community Centre for those who work during the day. Please see the full schedule below for times & locations.

We’d love to see these classes full, so please register to attend a class here

If you can’t register for any reason, you’re welcome to drop-in and give your name & contact details to the teacher on the day, however your space is not guaranteed if the class is full.

Thank you!

Thanks to our funders at Get Berkshire Active (Sport England) plus Greenham Trust and West Berkshire Council in partnership. We appreciate your support to offer these classes which will give the community wonderful ways to get together and take exercise. We hope this trial proves popular and valuable to our local community.

For those who can afford to contribute to classes, Educafe welcomes donations via The Good Exchange, where Greenham Trust will match fund donations. Donate here

If you have any questions about these classes, please email getactive@educafeuk.co.uk

“From the start, we had a strong vision for Educafe and knew we could offer more to our community. This project is another example of how we want to support our local area – through health and fitness as well as tea and cake. We want as many people to sign up for these classes and tell us what you think of them. We hope our Educafe members enjoy these activities and come along to make new friends whilst having a good workout, stretch or sweat! ”
