About Us

Year-round, we welcome hundreds of regular visitors to our weekly community cafe for free tea and cake at Newbury Library.

Every Wednesday, we host free activities including English conversation, knit and natter, board games, a Parents Village and expert advice and other support from local services.

Educafe also offers activities outside the café including English language courses, wellbeing activities, workshops and meet-ups.

Come say hi and see for yourself!

Please visit us on a Wednesday at Newbury Library between 11am and 2.15pm.

You’re also welcome to stay for a free 30-minute chair yoga class which takes place in the Carnegie Room upstairs at 2.15-2.45pm

We offer English language support courses for diverse ethnic communities in West Berkshire. We help individuals to access public services, to improve employability and work skills. We promote social inclusion through regular pop-up community cafes and we are proud to celebrate the incredible diversity of West Berkshire through community events. Other offerings in 2024 will include pregnancy workshops and teen wellbeing sessions.
