Educafe Improvers English Language Course

Our Improvers English Language course is designed for learners who already have a basic understanding of English and want to build greater fluency and accuracy in everyday communication.

You’ll develop your skills through practical, topic-based lessons that include grammar practice, vocabulary building, and lots of opportunities to speak and listen in real-life contexts.

EDUCAFE ESOL Improvers Face-to-Face (34 weeks, £100 course fee – one payment per academic year)

What You’ll Learn

Each week, you’ll explore a new topic through engaging lessons focused on:

– Speaking & Listening
– Reading & Writing
– Grammar & Vocabulary

Topics include:

– Life in the UK
– Sport and Exercise
– The Health Service
– Technology
– Lifelong Learning
– Local Communities
– Working Lives
– Education and Schools

How You’ll Learn

– No exams! Instead of formal testing, we assess your progress through regular class activities so you always know how you’re doing.
– After each session, you’ll receive a vocabulary list and/or grammar summary to review at home.
– We revisit this material in the next class to help strengthen your learning.

By the End of the Course, You Will Be Able To:

– Communicate confidently in everyday situations
– Speak with native English speakers
– Understand UK systems such as healthcare and education
– Engage with your local community and support services
– Prepare for further education, volunteering, or employment

Eligibility

For learners who:

– Live in West Berkshire
– Are UK citizens, have Settled Status, or are entitled to UK public funds
– Can provide a Biometric Visa and proof of address

If you are an asylum seeker, you must have been living in the UK for at least six months before applying.
