👨‍👩‍👧 Parent FAQs

Q: Is this course suitable for my child if they are struggling with English at school?
A: Absolutely. Our small-group format allows our experienced teachers to give personalised support. Whether your child is aiming to build confidence or improve their grade, we’ll meet them where they are and help them progress.

Q: How do I know this is good value?
A: At £198 for six weeks of high-quality tuition, this course is significantly more affordable than private 1:1 tutoring, and it’s led by experienced GCSE teachers with a proven track record. It’s an investment in both academic success and confidence.

Q: What happens if my child misses a session?
A: We understand that life happens. If your child misses a session, we’ll provide a catch-up pack with key content and activities. In some cases, a short one-to-one recap can be arranged.

Q: Is the course content aligned with school curriculum?
A: Yes. We follow the AQA GCSE syllabus, which is the most common board used in local schools. Even if your child is on a different board, the core skills are fully transferable.

Q: Who is delivering the course?
A: All sessions are delivered by qualified, experienced English teachers who have worked in schools and have excellent feedback from students and parents. Everyone is DBS-checked and supported by the Educafe team.

🎒 Student FAQs

Q: Will the course be like school?
A: No – it’s much more relaxed and supportive. We keep the groups small so you can ask questions, work through examples and get real help without pressure. You’ll be surprised how quickly things start to click.

Q: What if I don’t understand something?
A: That’s exactly why we’re here! We’ll go over things as many times as you need. You won’t be made to feel silly or rushed.

Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: Just a notebook, pen and a positive attitude. We’ll provide the rest, including past papers, extracts and writing tasks.

Q: Will there be homework?
A: Sometimes! But it’s nothing heavy. A bit of practice between sessions will really help – and you’ll get feedback on everything you do.

Q: What if I’m not confident reading aloud or writing essays?
A: Don’t worry – that’s so common. We’ll build your confidence step by step. No pressure to read in front of the group unless you’re happy to, and we’ll help you structure and improve your writing at your pace.
