Educafe Job Support Club & English for Work

Are you looking to improve your English for work and career development? The 12-week Job Support Club and English for Work course is designed for learners at Entry 2/B1 level (not suitable for beginners). Whether you’re seeking employment or looking to enhance your job prospects, this course offers valuable skills and support to help you succeed.

Who is it for?

Non-native speakers with low-level English language and literacy skills who would like to improve these to start or return to work, volunteer, reconnect with learning and/or further training.

Course Details:

 
  •  ~ Start Date: November 2024
  •  ~ Duration: 12 weeks
  •  ~ Sessions: 2 hours face-to-face at Newbury College
  •  ~ Mandatory: 2 hours of homework and self-study per week

What’s covered?

  • ~ Describing jobs, work and people
  • ~ Exploring job hunting techniques
  • ~ Learning vocabulary related to salary and pay
  • ~ Identifying common C.V. mistakes
  • ~ Writing and refining your personal C.V.
  • ~ Developing and practising interview skills
  • ~ Introductions to local businesses, volunteer opportunities, and training providers

Entry Requirements

  • ~ English Test (Entry 3 required)
  • ~ Access to a PC, Laptop, or phone
  • ~ Access to Wi-Fi & Internet
