At Parent Village, we believe that it takes a village to raise a child. In these precious, exhausting and sometimes isolating early years, every parent deserves to feel supported, connected and understood. Parent Village is a thriving local community to support families as they navigate the joys and challenges of early parenthood. Since launching our weekly sessions, we’ve welcomed hundreds of parents, carers and babies, creating a warm, inclusive space where families can find friendship, advice and connection.
We can’t do it alone, our funding is coming to an end in July 2025, and we need your help.
Local businesses are at the heart of our community and your support has the power to make a lasting difference.
A lifeline for new parents
Every week, up to 50 parents and little ones gather for free baby/toddler-friendly sessions at Parent Village. From music, rhyme time and sensory play to arts, crafts and baby massage, these activities give parents a safe space to connect while their children laugh, learn and grow.
We also offer expert-led advice on everything from breastfeeding, sleep routines and weaning, to toddler tantrums, baby nutrition, first aid, postnatal fitness and maternal mental health. Many parents tell us these sessions have been their lifeline.
Like one of our mums, who came to us after eight months at home with her baby, exhausted and battling severe anxiety. Her baby wouldn’t sleep for more than three hours at a time, leaving her desperate and isolated. The other parents at Parent Village gathered around her, offering advice, support and reassurance. Over the months, she found new friends, her baby’s sleep improved and her mental health transformed. She calls Parent Village her “safe haven” and she’s not alone.
Why your support matters
Many new families face isolation, financial pressures and a lack of accessible support, especially those new to the area or without extended family nearby.
When businesses get involved, you’re not only giving back, but you’re also investing in the wellbeing of your future customers, employees and neighbours.
It gives hope to a new mother fighting postnatal depression. It gives a baby their first taste of music, sensory play and joy. It gives a parent the courage to seek advice and reassurance.
You’re standing alongside families who live, work and raise children here. You’ll be recognised as a business that cares, with opportunities for positive publicity, social media promotion and invitations to community events.
